Contrary to rumours you may have heard about Ingleden selling up and other spurious gossip, we would like all our clients and friends to know that, whilst we have had a few disasters with staff over the last months, all is well and we now have a great team here who can help you out with all your needs.  Gemma is returning from Texas in June, so anyone interested in Parelli will have no further to look than here and Gemma will be pleased to assist.

Of course, if anyone fancies making an offer I cannot refuse for my wonderful yard, which will enable me to live in the lap of luxury, please go ahead!!!!  Hope to see you all soon!

DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIP 20TH APRIL 2008

The sun shines on the righteous!  Ingleden Park hosted it's Winter Series Unaffiliated Dressage Championship on the most glorious day of the year so far, Sunday 20th April, 2008, and some eighty competitors who had qualified throughout the Winter Series, were thankful for such a lovely day.  A high standard of horse and rider turned up, smiley faced (ok and maybe a little nervous!) but were soon feeling better in the relaxed atmosphere, which is always a feature of Ingleden that competitors enjoy so much.  The day started off with a warm-up class and proceeded onto Championship Classes for Walk & Trot - BD Introductory A, Prelim 17, Novice 37 and Elementary 43.  Our three judges did a splendid job and ran to schedule.

Our winners were awarded with Rosettes and Sashes and prizes which included Rugs, Numnahs and Gloves.  The top four Winners of the classes were no surprise - Rachel Alcock on her ovely grey - Maybe won the Walk and Trot, wih Heidi Matthews on Clover Rebel coming a close second and Bernadette Restorick coming in 3rd on her ex-racehorse Bugsy who just goes from strength to strength.  The Prelim was Won by Christina Dowling on Irish Mist with 72.08%, winning on collective marks over Alison Brown, who was 2nd and 3rd with the same percentage on Paddy and Fernando respectively, despite the prelim class having some thirty competitors.  

Gaynor Halpin won the Novice on Florence with 73.21%, Alison Brown came second on Paddy and 3rd was Christina Dowling on Harley.  Gemma Cornford won the Elementary on -wait for it - her Arab, Egyptian King!  2nd was Harriet Lewis-Wortley on Sandoor and 3rd was Katriona Sharp on Hurricane Mitch.  Congratulations to all our Winners!

A great day was had by everyone, he sun kept shining and there was still time for a BBQ for all the staff, friends and helpers at the end of the day.  A big thankyou to everyone that came, our helpers and of course our photographer from photoevents.

The new Summer Series starts in May to include Hickstead, UK Riders and IPEC Qualifiers, so we hope to see faces both old and new in the coming months."

FROM THIS SUMMER WE WILL BE CONCENTRATING ON VARIOUS FORMS OF TRAINING INCLUDING DRESSAGE & PIRELLI.  OUR PIRELLI TRAINER WILL BE RETURNING FROM TEXAS, USA 13TH JUNE, 2008 AND WILL BE AVAILABLE AT INGLEDEN FROM MID JUNE. ASK RAINE FOR DETAILS.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE SHALL BE HOLDING HUNTER TRIALS AND X-COUNTRY EVENTS FROM MAY, 2008 ON THE NEWLY BUILT COURSE.  INGLEDEN PARK WILL NOW BE HOLDING EVENTS FOR UK CHASERS AND WE ARE KNOWN AS INGLEDEN PARK CHASERS, COURSE NO. 47.

THE COURSE HAS BEEN RE-BUILT TO BHS STANDARD AND HAS A GREAT NUMBER OF NEW AND EXCITING JUMPS.

WOW!  INGLEDEN PARK CELEBRATED OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF RUNNING UNAFFILIATED DRESSAGE AND HAD RECORD NUMBERS OF COMPETITORS - 150 IN JANUARY!

OUR DRESSAGE SERIES IS PROVING EXTREMELY POPULAR AND MORE AND MORE OF YOU ARE TURNING UP EACH MONTH.  OUR SUPERIOR SURFACES, FRIENDLY WELCOME AND GOOD ORGANISATION ARE PROVING A WINNER, NOT TO MENTION OUR CAFE.

THE NEW WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP UNAFFILIATED SERIES SCHEDULE IS IN THE DIARY PAGE AND IS AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD TOO!
 
We are holding separate Championship qualifiers for the following categories:  R to R (Race Horse to Riding Horse), U16 (Under 16s), YH (Young Horse 4/5) and V (Veteran), so there is a chance to qualify for everyone.   We have also changed the points scheme where you can achieve points from 1st  to 5th place and only need 5 points in total to qualify for the Championship.

We are also including Walk & Trot Tests within the Championship so for those of you who can't quite brave a Prelim yet - there's still chance for you to become a Champion!

HUNTER TRIALS AND INDOOR WORKING HUNTER & HT

BLACK HORSE WILL BE HOLDING UNAFFILIATD EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE WINTER - SEE OUR DIARY OF DATES.

Clear round jumping will continue throughout the winter on Wednesday nights.  The cafe will be open serving hot food - so don't worry about the cold - come down for some fun!

WINTER INDOOR SHOWING AND RIDDEN CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO LIKE A BIT OF SHOWING AND ARE RESTRICTED TO THE SUMMER USUALLY - WE ARE HOLDING A SERIES OF QUALIFIERS THROUGHOUT THE WINTER.  Keep a look out on the diary page - the schedule will be up soon.

Regarding Livery - we have just 2 places left so hurr y to secure a space for the winter.  There'll be no more freezing and getting soaked in boggy menages or fields.  We have super facilities including a lovely dry large indoor school.  Just give Raine or Jayne a call for  a chat.

The results page will be updated in the next couple of days too!  The dressage is becoming even more popular and the hunter trials is always a favourite so if you haven't tried either yet - give it a go!

A TEAM OF THREE RIDERS FROM EACH RIDING CLUB WILL BE COMPETING FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP IN OCTOBER.

THE NEXT CHILDREN'S ONE DAY EVENT IS ON THE 31ST AUGUST - SO COME ALONG FOR SOME FUN.

Ingleden Park Equestrian Centre in St. Michaels, Tenterden is set the heart of the beautiful Kent Countryside. Raine Howson bought the facilities 3 years ago and has transformed them into a thriving Riding School, Training Centre, Competition Centre and Livery business. We have obtained BHS and ABRS status and can cater for children and adults of all ages and abilities. We have a small livery yard which is very unique - "a friendly yard with clients that help each ther out". Although small, we have a large indoor school with softtrack surface, Brand new 20m x 60m Charles Britton outdoor arena, horse walker, cross country course, post and railed paddocks, alarmed facilities and security for our clients as well as a new Clubhouse and Cafe. Raine lives on site and we also provide 24 hour security. We have a full set of show jumps, WH fences and lovely woodland rides. All our stables have rubber matting and are large and airy.
